The greenish brown lawn
is filled with leaves.
Red, yellow and burnt orange
they cover the brownish lawn
with their splendour.
Suddenly the wind sweeps
uncovering the
white and blue starkness
of two small blue jays.
Motionless blackened wings spread
across the brown mud.
A orange tabby cat, howls
from the top of
the grayish white fence,
scolding me perhaps for
uncovering his half eaten supper.
is filled with leaves.
Red, yellow and burnt orange
they cover the brownish lawn
with their splendour.
Suddenly the wind sweeps
uncovering the
white and blue starkness
of two small blue jays.
Motionless blackened wings spread
across the brown mud.
A orange tabby cat, howls
from the top of
the grayish white fence,
scolding me perhaps for
uncovering his half eaten supper.
(Won Gold for this..had to be lots of colour in the poem.)
