BIRTH MOTHER
Her breath with hints of marigold
sang them a fragrant scented song.
Daffodils blooming, shades of gold
wildflowers flow on her sarong.
Crocheted to bodice, wings beating
butterflies bejewel her hair.
New beginning with frail greetings,
wild joy of wing song everywhere.
Corsets of lilies call their name,
petals formed from tears in her eyes.
Fine wings fluttering they all came,
lotus laughter lifts to the skies.
Hints summer on breath of spring
birthing mother of living things.
