Heaven’s portal in cloudy sky
on wispy wings they drift on by.
Shadows blend in misty twilight,
where angels come to say goodnight.
Along gold moonlight visons glide
on clumpy clouds they take a ride.
Silver spans of stars shine their light,
where angels come to say goodnight.
Murky illusions begin to form
swirling sensations, soft and warm.
Feelings of comfort, pure delight,
where angels come to say goodnight.
Briefly, across the earth they soar
with heavenly voice they reassure.
A hallowed place, shimmering white,
where angels come to say goodnight.
